Codes of Ethics
A Code of Ethics should be seen as the constitution of an organisation. In line with the King III draft report, a Code of Ethics should address the specific ethical risk of each organisation.

While a Code in itself cannot change behaviours, it summarises an organisation's ethical commitment, and forms a crucial part of their Ethics Management Programme.

Many Codes of Ethics are however written (and presented) in a very legalistic way - which means that most of the staff members do not read these important documents.

EthicSA has developed Codes of Ethics for numerous organisations. We believe a Code of Ethics should be written in accessible language, and should clearly illustrate the relationship between an organisation's values and its rules of conduct.

We provide the following services:
  • Ethical risk assessment to inform Code content
  • Code review
  • Code development
  • Code certification
  • Guidance on Code roll-out
