Certification
EthicSA has three certification activities.
  1. Ethics Officers
Our flagship training programme is a five-day Ethics Officer Certification Programme. After completing the course, interested participants can complete a practicum in order to become Certified Ethics Officers.

See list of Certified Ethics Officers.

  2. Whistle-blowing Hotline Service Providers
EthicSA has, through an industry consultation process, complied the External Whistle-blowing Hotline Service Provider Standard (EO1.1.1), to ensure high standards and ethical conduct among hotline service providers.

Such service providers can voluntary apply for certification. They will then be audited anually or every second year to determine whether they comply with the standard.

    • Deliotte Tip-offs Anonymous

    • KPMG Ethics Line  - A Divion of KPMG Services (Pty) Ltd

  3. Codes of Ethics
EthicSA endorses codes of ethics that illustrate the relationship between an organisation's values and its rules of conduct. Such an approach ensures that the letter of a code is not seen as more important than the spirit of the code.

We certify codes in terms of their completeness, clarity, utility and their promotion of an understanding of the relationship between values and rules.
