Is your entity moving to IFRS, with the withdrawal of Statements of Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (SA GAAP) or are you an entity preparing IFRS financial statements that will be applying the new consolidation standards which are effective from 1 January 2013 or need a refresher course on IFRS, then IFRS Back to Basics is the course for you.
Back to Basics is SAICA's most comprehensive IFRS CPD event of the year that covers the core standards of IFRS from the perspective of a 'refresher course'. The core standards of IFRS include those requirements that are typical to the majority of entities irrespective of entity size or industry bias. In addition, this year's two day IFRS Back to Basics workshop will cover first-time adoption of IFRS requirements in much more detail, the new consolidation standards (IFRS 10,11,12) in detail and the new standard on fair value measurement (how this interacts with the current IFRS standards).
